Dans cette contribution, je propose d’analyser un temps particulier de la performance dansée zeybek appelé « promenade ». Avant d’entrer pleinement dans la danse, le soliste effectue une marche improvisée de quelques dizaines de secondes pendant laquelle il s’accorde avec les musiciens et recherche l’état de danse. Pour qualifier ce moment transitionnel, les danseurs de zeybek portent l’emphase sur l’âme et le tempérament du danseur.
