İstanbul Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Bilim Tarihi Bölümü ve Fransız Anadolu Araştırmaları Enstitüsü (IFEA) iş birliğiyle, 21-24 Kasım 2023 tarihleri arasında “Channels of Transmission of Astronomical Knowledge in the Ottoman World (14th-18th Centuries)” başlıklı uluslararası bir kongre düzenlenecektir. Bu uluslararası kolokyum, Akdeniz ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun bir parçası olan tüm topraklar dahil olmak üzere, 14. yüzyıldan 18. yüzyıla kadar Osmanlı dünyasında teorik ve uygulamalı astronomi tekniklerine ait yöntem ve üretimin tarihini araştırmayı amaçlamaktadır.
