Comment passer d’une idée à un projet, d’un projet à une écriture filmique, d’un film rêvé à un film possible ? Ce sont là quelques-unes des questions essentielles à toute démarche de cinéaste que l’écriture doit dans un premier temps résoudre ou au moins éclairer.

Deux associations françaises, Ecran Libre et Docmonde, organisent depuis 2011, avec ses partenaires d’Asie Centrale, du Causase et du nord de la Russie (Kazakhfilms, Kyrgyzfilms, Arts Council of Mongolia…), des résidences d’écriture/formation au documentaire de création et des rencontres trans-régionales de coproduction dans le cadre du programme Eurasiadoc. Grâce à ces formations et rencontres est née une collection des films documentaires «Lumière d’Eurasie» qui regroupent actuellement 49 films (dont certains sont en cours de production).

À l’occasion de cette 4e année du programme Eurasiadoc, Ecran Libre et Docmonde invitent les auteurs-réalisateurs de Turquie et d’Arménie à participer à une résidence d’écriture de projets de films documentaires de création. Cette résidence se déroulera à Istanbul, du 1 au 13 juin 2015; elle sera suivie d’une rencontre de coproduction (TENK) en Arménie, en présence de producteurs et distributeurs locaux et Européens.

Cette résidence d’écriture est organisée en partenariat avec l’Institut Français en Turquie (IFT), la Faculté de Communication de l’Université Bilgi (Istanbul), l’IFEA (Institut Français d’Études Anatoliennes), IKSV (Fondation de la Culture et des Arts d’Istanbul) GAIFF (Festival International du Film d’Erevan / Abricot d’or, Erevan), Fondation Anadolu Kültür (Istanbul) et ATCP (Plateforme du cinéma Arménie-Turquie).

Les objectifs principaux du projet Eurasiadoc sont :

• Accompagner les personnes qui souhaitent développer un projet professionnel de réalisation de documentaires de création, dans une démarche d’auteur exigeante.
• Tisser un solide réseau autour du documentaire de création dans ces régions d’Eurasie et entre ces régions et l’Europe.

La participation aux formations est gratuite. Les frais de déplacements, de restauration et d’hébergement des participants seront pris en charge par les organisateurs.

A. Détails de l’organisation des sessions

Cadre de la formation

Nous proposons à 6 auteurs-réalisateurs de Turquie et d’Arménie de participer à la résidence d’écriture de films documentaires qui durera 12 jours, dont les objectifs sont

 

• Identifier, grâce et à travers un travail d’écriture, les questions de cinéma qui présideront à la réalisation des projets de films, tout en explorant les possibilités de financements locaux ;
• Effectuer un diagnostic et une analyse critique approfondie des projets de films et élaborer un véritable « scénario » documentaire en vue de le présenter à des producteurs et/ou à des télévisions
• Mettre en place des exercices de réalisation dans l’idée de tracer une esquisse vidéo des projets développés
• Fondée sur l’exploration approfondie d’un « sujet » en vue de sa transformation en véritable projet de film, la formation débouche également sur l’acquisition d’une méthode de travail à l’usage de projets à venir.

 

Mise en place

La formation/résidence d’écriture Eurasiadoc, 4e édition, aura lieu du 1 au 13 juin 2015 à Istanbul. Samuel Aubin, réalisateur/producteur et formateur, encadrera cette formation.

Samuel AUBIN : Réalisateur et directeur artistique d’Ecran Libre. Il encadre les formations au documentaire de création Eurasiadoc en Asie Centrale depuis 2009. Son travail artistique englobe la fiction et le documentaire ainsi que nouveaux explorations des ressources du numérique et de l’Internet. Il est producteur et fondateur de la société Rhizome (France). Il vit à Istanbul.

RESIDENCE EURASIADOC : 2012: Bishkek (Kirghizstan) / 2013-2014: Almaty (Kazakhstan) / 2014-2016 Formateur du Master de réalisation de documentaire dans l’Académie des Beaux-Arts d’Almaty, en partenariat avec l’Université Stendhal Grenoble 3.

Programme 2015

Il ne s’agit pas d’une session de formation technique à la réalisation : il s’agit d’un séminaire intensif de réflexion et d’analyse autour d’un projet personnel présenté par le candidat.

Les participants, encadrés par les deux formateurs, se concentreront sur:

• Une analyse approfondie collective des questions du sujet et de la forme des projets de films; les participants regarderont collectivement les précédentes productions de films respectifs, ainsi que des films issus de l’histoire du cinéma documentaire.

• Une recherche individuelle / documentation : visionnage et interprétation de films relatant des thèmes et des enjeux formels développés par chaque participant.

• Des discussions individuelles entre chaque participant et les formateurs : analyse, préparation des repérages de lieux, examen des différentes options.

• Une première étape de réécriture du projet.

• Une analyse collective et individuelle des projets retravaillés.

• La finalisation d’une version avancée du projet.

Après la résidence

Les projets de films documentaires les plus avancés issus des résidences Eurasiadoc auront l’opportunité d’être présentés aux rencontres de co-production, dénommées TENK, qui auront lieu en juin 2015, en Arménie. Les participants sélectionnés pourront présenter leurs projets sous forme de pitch à des producteurs et diffuseurs (télévisions) locaux et européens.

B. Conditions de participation

Projets

Les projets pouvant être retenus sont des documentaires de création.

Peut-être classé « documentaire de création », une oeuvre traitant de la réalité, passée ou présente, devant faire l’objet d’un travail de recherche, d’analyse, d’écriture, traduisant l’originalité du regard de ses auteurs réalisateurs.

Participants

La formation s’adresse aux auteurs/réalisateurs :

• Résidents d’un des deux pays: Arménie ou Turquie (âgés de 19 ans minimum) ;
• Aucun niveau universitaire n’est requis, cependant il est fortement conseillé d’avoir une expérience, même limitée, de réalisation (professionnelle ou amateur) ayant un rapport avec l’image (audiovisuel, photographie, arts plastique) ;
• Le projet peut être présenté par un auteur/réalisateur qu’il bénéficie déjà ou non de l’appui d’un producteur.

Sélection des candidats

Toute candidature incomplète ne sera pas examinée. Le comité de lecture ne motive pas son avis pour les projets non retenus. Les résultats seront communiqués par mail, un mois avant le début de la résidence.

Coût de la formation:

La formation est gratuite. Elle couvre :

• L’inscription et l’encadrement pédagogique,
• L’accès à la documentation (films, revues, ouvrages spécialisés…),
• L’accès au matériel technique,
• Les frais de restauration et d’hébergement sur le lieu de la résidence,
• La prise en charge du voyage aller-retour .
• La prise en charge des défraiements liés à la participation aux rencontres de coproduction TENK en Arménie pour les projets retenus à l’issue de la résidence d’écriture.

Fikirler projelere, projeler belgesel film senaryosuna nasıl dönüşür? Hayal ettiğimiz film nasıl gerçek olur, beyazperdeye nasıl yansır? Bunlar bir yönetmeni yazım sürecinde en çok meşgul eden ve tam da bu süreçte sorulması gereken en önemli sorulardan bazıları.

Merkezi Fransa’da bulunan iki kurum, Ecran Libre ve Docmonde, 2011’den beri Eurasiadoc projesi kapsamında Orta Asya, Kafkaslar ve Rusya’nın doğusunda (Kazakhfilms, Kyrgyzfilms ve Moğolistan Sanat Konseyi ile işbirliği içinde) çeşitli belgesel film atölyeleri ve ortak yapım toplantıları düzenledi. Bu atölyeler ve ortak yapım toplantıları sonucunda seçilen projeler  »Lumière d’Eurasie’ adıyla anılan belgesel film koleksiyonuna dahil oldu. Günümüzde bu koleksiyon (içlerinden bazıları yapım aşamasında olmak üzere) bünyesinde 49 film barındırmaktadır.

Ecran Libre ve Docmonde, Eurasiadoc projesinin 4. yılında Türkiye ve Ermenistan’dan belgesel yönetmenlerini iki hafta süresince (1-13 Haziran 2015 tarihlerinde) İstanbul’da gerçekleşecek belgesel film yazım atölyesine katılmaya davet ediyor. Katılımcılar, atölye süresinde geliştirdikleri belgesel projelerini, atölyenin hemen ardından Ermenistan’da düzenlenen, yerli ve yabancı (Asya ve Avrupa ülkelerinden gelen) yapımcıların ve televizyon yayıncılarının da davetli olduğu  »TENK »*¹ ortak yapım toplantılarında sunacak.

Eurasiadoc İstanbul belgesel film atölyesi, Türkiye Fransız Kültür Merkezi (Institut Français en Turquie – IFT), İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi, Fransız Anadolu Araştırmaları Enstitüsü(IFEA), İKSV (İstanbul Kültür ve Sanat Vakfı), GAIFF (Erivan Uluslararası  »Altın Kayısı » Film Festivali), Anadolu Kültür (İstanbul) ve ETSP (Ermenistan-Türkiye Sinema Platformu) ile işbirliği içinde düzenlenmektedir.

Eurasiadoc projesinin hedefleri :

• Belgesel ile ilgilenen kişilere, film yapım sürecine profesyonel bir bakış açısıyla yaklaşmaları ve kişisel olarak sanatsal eğilimlerini güçlendirmeleri konusunda destek vermek;

• Genel olarak bölgeler arası (Avrupa-Asya ülkeleri) işbirliğinin artmasına katkıda bulunmaktır. Eurasiadoc İstanbul projesinin temel hedefi Türkiye ve Ermenistan arası iş ortaklıklarının gelişmesine katkıda bulunmaktır.

Not: Katılım ücretsizdir. Yurt dışı ve yurt içi ulaşım, yemek ve konaklama giderleri, proje fonundan karşılanacaktır. Başvurular ile ilgili detaylı bilgi aşağıdadır:

A. Atölyenin organizasyonu ve programı

Programın genel çerçevesi:

Türkiye ve Ermenistan’dan altı yönetmenin katılımıyla 12 gün sürecek belgesel film yazım atölyesinde genel hatlarıyla çalışılacak konular:

• Projelerin konusu üzerine tartışmalar; yazım egzersizleri ile taslaktan film projesine geçiş; yapım olanaklarının değerlendirilmesi;

• Film projelerinin eleştirel analizinin yapılması, ileriki süreçte Ermenistan’da düzenlenecek ortak yapım toplantılarında yapımcı ve televizyon yayıncılarına sunulacak şekliyle, gerçek anlamda bir  »belgesel film senaryosunun » oluşturulması;

• Kaba kurgu çalışmaları eşliğinde video egzersizleri;

• Katılımcıların gelecek projeleri için de çalışma metodu oluşturabilmeleri amacıyla, filmin  »konu »dan  »senaryo »ya doğru evrildiği bu sürecin derin bir şekilde incelenmesi, tartışılması.

Organizasyon

Eurasiadoc programının 4. projesi olan İstanbul belgesel film atölyesi, 1-13 Haziran 2015 tarihleri arasında Bilgi Üniversitesi Santral Kampüsü’nde, yönetmen/yapımcı ve eğitmen Samuel Aubin rehberliğinde düzenlenecektir.

Samuel AUBIN

Yönetmen/yapımcı, Ecran Libre’in artistik direktörü ve Rhizome Production (Lyon, Fransa) yapım şirketinin kurucusu. 2009’dan beri Orta Asya’da çeşitli belgesel eğitimleri düzenlemektedir. Kurmaca ve belgesel filmlerinin yanı sıra yeni teknolojilere ve görsel sanat ve anlatım tekniklerine dayalı trans-medya projeleri gerçekleştirmekte ve İstanbul’da ikamet etmektedir.

Eğitmenliğini yürüttüğü uluslararası belgesel film atölyeleri: 2012: Bişkek (Kırgızistan) / 2013-2014: Almatı (Kazakistan) / 2014-2016 Almatı Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi (Kazakistan) ve Grenoble 3 Stendhal Üniversitesi (Fransa) ortaklığında Belgesel Film Yüksek Lisans programı.

Program

Eurasiadoc İstanbul belgesel film yazım atölyesi teknik eğitime değil, katılımcıların kişisel projelerinin analiz edileceği, hep birlikte değerlendirileceği bir seminerler bütününe dayalıdır.

Katılımcılar eğitmen eşliğinde çeşitli egzersizler üzerine yoğunlaşacaktır:

• Eğitmenin geçmiş filmleri ya da belgesel sinema tarihinin önemli yapımlarının gösterimleri eşliğinde  »biçim »,  »içerik » ve  »konu » kavramlarının detaylı analizi;
• Bireysel araştırmalar: Katılımcıların kendi projelerinin temasıyla uyumlu filmleri izleyip yorumlamaları
• Eğitmenle özel dersler: Projelerin çekim mekanlarıyla ilgili araştırma ve hazırlıklar; olası alternatiflerin üretilmesi;
• Projenin yeniden yazımına başlanması;
• Üzerinden geçilen projelerin tek tek ve gruplar halinde analiz edilmesi;
• Eğitmenin rehberliğinde projenin son taslağının oluşturulması;

Atölye sonrası program

Eurasiadoc belgesel film atölyesi esnasında geliştirilen en iyi film projeleri, atölyenin hemen ardından Haziran ayında Ermenistan’da düzenlenecek TENK ortak yapım toplantılarına katılma fırsatı bulacak.

B. Katılım koşulları

Projeler

Değerlendirmeye alınacak projeler  »yaratıcı belgesel » projeleridir.

 “Yaratıcı belgesel”,  »geçmiş ya da geleceğe dair gerçekliğe dayalı konularla ilgili, araştırma, analiz ve yazım sürecinden geçerek  »yazar-yönetmen »in kişisel ve orijinal bakış açısını yansıtan her tür belgesel çalışması » olarak tanımlanabilir.

Katılımcılar

Bu atölye aşağıdaki kriterlere uygun olacak şekilde, yazar-yönetmenlere açıktır:

• Türkiye ya da Ermenistan’da ikamet etmek (ve 19 yaşından büyük olmak)

• Profesyonellik şartı yoktur, ancak tercihen film yapımı ya da (televizyon yayıncılığı, fotoğraf, görsel sanatlar vb. alanlarda) görsellik üzerine daha önceden deneyim edinmiş olmak,

• Yazar ve yönetmenlerin, önceden belirlenmiş bir yapımcı şartı olmaksızın, kendi projeleri ile başvurmaları beklenmektedir.

Projelerin seçilmesi

Eksik başvurular dikkate alınmayacaktır. Seçim komitesi, değerlendirme sonuçlarını atölyenin başlangıç tarihinden 1 ay önce duyuracak, seçilmeyen projeler için gerekçe göstermeyecektir.

Programın masrafları

Programa katılım ücretsizdir. Ayrıca,

• atölyede kullanılacak dökümanlar (kaynaklar, filmler, yardımcı metinler vb.)

• çekim malzemeleri,

• yemek ve konaklama masrafları,

• şehir içi ulaşım,

• Ermenistan’da düzenlecek TENK ortak yapım toplantılarına katılacak proje sahipleri için (seyahat, konaklama ve perdiem) giderler,

proje fonu tarafından karşılanacaktır.

Հայտում

Ինչպե՞ս է գաղափարը վերածվում նախագծի և ինչպե՞ս է նախագիծը վերածվում վավերագրական ֆիլմի սցենարի։ Ինչպե՞ս կարող է երազանքների ֆիլմը իրականություն դառնալ։ Սրանք են այն բնական խնդիրները. որոնց յուրաքանչյուր ֆիլմ ստեծող պետք է առաջին հերթին լուծի կամ ամենաքիչը՝ հստակեցնի։

Երկու ֆրանսիական կազմակերպություն՝ Ecran Libre և Docmonde, սկսած 2011 թվականից համագործակցում են Կենտրոնական Ասիայում, Կովկասում և Արևելյան Ռուսաստանում գործող կազմակերությունների հետ (Kazakhfilms, Kyrgyzfilms, Arts Council of Mongolia և այլն)` կազմակերպելու համար դոկումենտալ ֆիլմերի վերաբերյալ աշխատաժողովներ և ներտարածաշրջանային համատեղ արտադրության հանդիպումներ ԵՎՐԱՍԻԱԴՈՔ-ի շրջանակներում։ Այս աշխատաժողովները և հանդիպումները հնարավորություն են տալիս ընտրված կինոնախագծերին դառնալու  »Lumière d’Eurasie »վավերագրական ֆիլմերի հավաքածուի մաս։ Այսօր Lumière d’Eurasie–ի հավաքածուում արդեն հաշվառվում է 43 ֆիլմ (դրանց մի մասը դեռ արտադրական փուլում է)։

ԵՎՐԱՍԻԱԴՈՔ-ի սցենարագրության դասընթացների 4-րդ տարում`Ecran Libre և Docmonde կազմակերպությունները հրավիրում են Թուրքիայի և Հայաստանի կինոգործիչներին երկու շաբաթ տևողությամբ վավերագրական ֆիլմերի զարգացման աշխատաժողովին, որը կկայանա Ստամբուլում՝ 2015 թվականի հունիսի 1-13-ը և որին կհաջորդի Հայաստանում համատեղ արտադրության հանդիպումը. այստեղ ներկա կգտնվեն Եվրոպացի և տեղական պրոդյուսերներ, հեռուստատեսությունների ներկայացուցիչներ։

Աշխատաժողովի գործընկերներն են՝ Թուրքիայում ֆրանսիական ինստիտուտը, Բիլգի համալսարանի հաղորդակցության ֆակուլտետը (Ստամբուլ), Անատոլիական ուսումնասիրությունների ֆրանսիական ինստիտուտը, Ստամբուլի մշակույթի և արվեստի ֆոնդը, Ոսկե Ծիրան միջազգային կինոպառատոնը (Երևան), Անադոլու Քուլթուրը (Ստամբուլ)և Հայաստան-Թուրքիա կինոպլատֆորմը։

Ծրագրի նպատակներն են ՝

• Օգնել նրանց, ովքեր ցանկանում են զարգացնել վավերագրական ֆիլմարտադրության հանդեպ պրոֆեսիոնալ մոտեցում՝ ուժեղ անձնական գեղարվեստական մոտեցմամբ։

• Ստեղծել կայուն մասնագիտական ցանց նշված տարածաշրջանների միջև, ինչպես նաև՝ նշված տարածաշրջանների և Եվրոպայի միջև։

Մասնակցությունը անվճար է։ Ճանապարհորդության, սննդի և կացության ծախսերը նույնպես հոգում են կազմակերպիչները։

Ա. Վավերագրական ֆիլմերի թրեյնինգների կառուցվածքը և ձևաչափը

Ուրվագիծը
Վեց հեղինակ-կինոգործիչներ՝ Հայաստանից և Թուրքիայից, 12 օրվա ընթացում կհյուրընկալվեն սցենարագրության կացարանում, նպատակ ունենալով՝

• Նյութ գրելու միջոցով պարզաբանել կինոյի այն խնդիրները, որոնք ֆիլմերի նախագծերի ստեղծմանն են հանգեցնում՝ միաժամանակ ուսումնասիրելով արտադրության հնարավորությունները ։

• Իրականացնել նրանց ֆիլմ-նախագծերի մանրամասն քննադատական վերլուծություն և զարգացնել իրական վավերագրական «պատմություն», որը ներկայացվելու է պրոդյուսերներին և/կամ հեռուստատեսության ներկայացուցիչներին՝ ծրագրին հաջորդող հատվածում՝ Հայաստանում անցկացվելիք համատեղ արտադրության ժողովի ժամանակ։

• Սևագիր հոլովակների միջոցով վարժություններ կատարել։

• Կախված թեմայի խորը բացահայտմից՝ մինչև դրա ձևափոխումը իրական ֆիլմ պրոեկտի, թրեյնինգը նաև կենտրոնանանլու է ապագա նախագծերի համար աշխատանքային մեթոդի ընտրության վրա։

Ձևաչափը
4-րդ ԵՎՐԱՍԻԱԴՈՔ-ը տեղի է ունենալու 2015թ. Հունիսի 1-13-ը Ստամբուլում(Թուրքիա)։ Ծրագրի մենթորը լինելու է կինոգործիչ, պրոդյուսեր և թրեյներ Սամուել Օբինը ։

Սամուել Օբին

Էքրան լիբրի (Ecran Libre) ռեժիսոր և գեղարվեստական ղեկավար։ 2009 թվականից սկսած Սամուելը վավերագրական ֆիլների թրեյնինգներ է անցկացնում Կենտրոնական Ասիայում։ Նրա գեղարվեստական աշխատանքները բացահայտում են խաղարկային, վավերագրական, ինչպես նաև տեսողական և պատմողական արվեստների նոր տեսակները, որոնք առնչություն ունեն բարձր տեխնոլոգիաների և համացանցի հետ։ Նա պրոդյուսեր է ֆրանսիայում գործող Ռիզոմե փրոդաքշընզում (Rhizome Productions)։ Ապրում է Ստամբուլում։ Կացարան (RESIDENCY)2012՝ Բիշքեք՝ Ղրղստան/ 2013-2014՝ Ալմաթի՝ Ղազախստան, 2014-2016՝ մագիստրատուրայի դասախոս Ալմաթիի գեղարվեստի ուսումնարանում և Ստենդհալ համալսարանի Գրենոբլ 3-ում։

Աշխատաժողովը տեխնիկական թրեյնինգներից չէ կազմված, այլ ավելի շուտ ինտենսիվ սեմինարներից, որոնց ընթացքում ամփոփվելու և վերլուծվելու են դիմողների կողմից ներկայացված անհատական նախագծերը։

Մենթորի կողմից համակարգվող մասնակիցները կենտրոնանալու են հետևյալ կետերի վրա՝

• Սուբյեկտ և ձև հարցերի շուրջ խորը ուսումնասիրություն, թրեյներներից որևէ մեկի ավելի վաղ գործերի, ինչպես նաև վավերագրական ժառանգությունից ֆիլների համատեղ դիտում։

• Անհատական հետազոտական աշխատանք, նախագծի թեմաներին և հարցերին առնչվող ֆիլմերի դիտում և վերլուծություն։

• Թյութորների հետ անհատական դասեր՝ վերլուծություններ, պատրաստութուն տեղանքների հետախուզության աշխատանքներին, հնարավոր տարբերակների քննություն։

• Նախագիծը նորից գրելու առաջին փուլ

• Փոփոխված աշխատանքների համատեղ և անհատական վերլուծություն

• Նախագծի վերջնական սևագիր տարբերակ, թրեյների՝ մշտական համակարգման ներքո

Կացարանից (residency)հետո
ԵՎՐԱՍԻՈԴՈՔ կացարանի մասնակիցների առաջատար վավերագրական ֆիլմերի նախագծերը հնարավորություն կստանան մասնակցելու համատեղ արտադրության “Tenk” ժողովին, որը տեղի է ունենալու 2015թ. հունիսին, ներկայացնելու իրենց պրոեկտները (pitch) և հանդիպելու եվրոպական ու տեղական պրոդյուսերների, հեռուստահեռարձակողների հետ։

Նախագծերը
Նախագծերը, որոնք կմասնակցեն ընտրությանը՝ «Ստեղծագործական վավերագրական» ֆիլմեր պետք է լինեն

«Ստեղածագործական Վավերագրական ֆիլմ». Ներկային, անցյալին կամ ապագային վերաբերող յուրաքանչյուր աշխատանք, որը ուսումնասիրության, վերլուծության կամ գրավոր նյութի թեմա է դարձել, և արտահայտում է հեղինակ-ռեժիսորի անձնական-յուրօրինակ տեսանկյունը։

Մասնակիցները

Աշխատաժողովը նախատեսված է յուրաքանչյուր հեղինակ-կինոգործիչի համար ՝

• Այս երկրներից մեկում՝ Հայաստանում կամ Թուրքիայում, կացության կարգավիճակ ունեցող (նվազագույնը 19 տարեկան)։

• Որակավորում չի պահանջվում, սակայն առնվազն փորձը ֆիլմարտադրության բնագավառում (պրոֆեսիոնալ և ոչ պրոֆեսիոնալ) կապված տեսողական նյութի հետ նախընտրելի է (հեռարձակում, լուսանկարչություն, վիզուալ արվեստներ և այլն) ։

• Նախագծերը կարող են ներկայացվել հեղինակ-ֆիլմարտադրողների կողմից, անկախ նրանից, թե ունեն արդեն պրոդյուսերի աջակցություն, թե ոչ։

Թեկնածուների ընտրությունը

Անավարտ դիմում-հայտերը չեն դիտարկվելու։ Ընտրական հանձնաժողովը չի պարզաբանելու իր որոշումը չընտրված մասնակիցներին։ Արդյունքները հայտարարվելու են էլեկտրոնային փոստի միջոցավ՝ ամենաուշը կացարանում կացության /residency/ սկզբից մեկ ամիս առաջ։

Ծրագրի արժեքը

Հեղինակ-ֆիլմարտադրողների համար, որոնք կացություն են հաստատելու կացարանում ծրագրի մասնակցությունը անվճար է։ Այն ներառում է՝

• Գրանցման վճարը,

• Անհրաժեշտ նյութերի տրամադրումը (ֆիլներ, գրախոսություններ և այլն),

• Անհրաժեշտ նկարահանող սարքավորումների տրամադրումը,

• Տեղական տրանսպորտի, սննդի և կացության ծախսերը,

• Ընտրված մասնակիցների համար այն ծախսերը (ճանապարհորդոթյան, առձեռն, հոսթել), որոնք կապված են Հայաստանում TENK համատեղ արտադրության հանդիպումների մասնակցության հետ։

How does an idea become a project, and how does a project become a documentary script? How can the film one dreams of, become reality? These are some of the essential questions for any filmmaker that writing must first resolve or at least clarify.

Two French Organisations, Ecran Libre and Docmonde collaborate since 2011 with many local organisations from Central Asia, Caucasus and East Russia (Kazakhfilms, Kyrgyzfilms, Arts Council of Mongolia, …) to propose documentary workshops and transregional coproduction meetings in the framework of Eurasiadoc. These workshops and meetings give the opportunity to the selected film projects to be a part of a documentary film collection  »Lumière d’Eurasie ». Today, Lumière d’Eurasie gathers 49 films (some of them are still in process).

In the 4^th year of Eurasiadoc scriptwriting residency project, Ecran Libre and Docmonde invite documentary filmmakers from Turkey and Armenia for a two weeks of documentary development workshop in Istanbul during 1-13^th June 2015, followed by a coproduction meeting in Armenia, in presence of European and local producers and TV broadcasters.

This workshop will be held in partnership with “Institut Français en Turquie” (IFT) (French Cultural Institute in Turkey), Bilgi University Faculty of Communication (Istanbul), IFEA (French Institute for Anatolian Studies), IKSV (Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts) GAIFF (Golden Apricot International Film Festival, Yerevan), Anadolu Kültür (Istanbul) and ATCP (Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform).

The aims of this project are :

• To help people who want to develop a professional approach of documentary film making, with a strong personal artistic approach.

• To build strong professional networks across these regions and between these regions and Europe.

Participation is free of charge. Travelling costs, catering and accommodation are also paid by the project’s funds.

A. Organisation and Set-up of documentary training sessions

Outline

Six authors-filmmakers from Turkey and Armenia will be hosted in a writing residency for a 12 days workshop, aiming to:

• Identify, through writing work, cinema issues that will lead film projects, while exploring the possibilities of production;

• Carry out a diagnostic and detailed critical analysis of their film projects, and develop a true documentary « scenario » to be presented to producers and / or television for the following part of the project, the coproduction meeting that will be held in Armenia;

• Carry out exercises in video rough sketches;

• Based on in-depth exploration of a « subject » to its transformation into a real film project, the training also leads to the acquisition of a working method to be used for future projects.

Set-up

The EURASIADOC, 4th edition, will take place from 1 to 13 June 2015 in Istanbul/ Turkey. Samuel Aubin, filmmaker, producer and trainer will mentor the program.

Samuel AUBIN
Film director and artistic director of Ecran Libre. Samuel has been running documentary trainings in Central Asia since 2009. His artistic work explores fiction, documentary as well as new types of visual and narrative art related to high technologies and Internet. He is producer in Rhizome Productions, based in France. He lives in Istanbul.
RESIDENCY 2012: Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) / 2013-2014: Almaty (Kazakhstan) / 2014-2016 Teacher of the Master degree with Almaty School of Fine Arts and Stendhal University Grenoble 3.

Program

It is not a technical training session but rather an intensive seminar for reflection and analysis about a personal project submitted by the applicant.

Participants, coordinated by the tutor, will focus on:

• In-depth analysis of questions of “subject” and form; collective viewing of any of the trainees’ earlier productions as well as films from the documentary film heritage
• Individual research work: interpretation and viewing of films relating to the project’s formal themes and issues
• Individual tutorials with the tutor: analysis, preparing to scout for locations, examining the different possible options.
• First stage of rewriting the project
• Collective and individual analysis of reworked projects
• Final draft of the project, in constant coordination with the trainer

After the residency

The most advanced documentary film projects from Eurasiadoc residencies will have the opportunity to attend the co-production meeting “Tenk”, which will take place in June 2015, to pitch their project and meet European and local producers, and TV broadcasters.

B. Conditions of Participation

Projects

Projects, which will be considered for selection, are “creative documentaries”.

 “Creative Documentaries”: any work dealing with reality, past or present, which has been the subject of research, analysis and writing, and which expresses the originality of the author-directors’ perspective.

Participants

The workshop is designed for any author-filmmaker:

• Resident of one of this countries: Turkey and Armenia (min. 19 years old),

• Qualification is not required but at least a little experience in film making (professional or non-professional) in link with the image (broadcasting, photography, visual arts…) would be preferable,

• Projects may be presented by author-filmmakers, whether or not they already have a producer’s support.

Selection of the candidates

No incomplete application will be considered. The committee will not justify its decision to unsuccessful candidates. Results will be sent by email one month before the beginning of the residency, at the latest.

Cost of the Program

This program is free of charge for author-filmmakers following the residency. This includes:

• registration fees,
• access to documentation (films, reviews, etc.),
• access to shooting equipment,
• local transport, catering and accommodation,
• Charges (travel, per diem, hostel) relative to the participation to coproduction meetings TENK in Armenia for selected participants.
