A former disciple of the last and highly-praised pujangga dalem (“official court-poet”) of the Kasunanan, Raden Ngabehi Ronggowarsito, Ki Padmasusastra was brought at an early age to court. Demokratik ve tarafsız bir coğrafi çerçevede bir konferans düzenleme fikri vardı. Bu projeyi hazırlarken ağırlıklı olarak “Osmanlı İdari Adem-i Merkeziyet Partisi” ve “Beyrut Reform Kulübü” tarafından desteklendiler. Using published and manuscript travel books and private and official correspondence, I analyse how the maps were made and what political, economic and cultural objectives of the Prussian government lay behind them.
