Rencontres archéologiques avec les élèves de l’école Pierre Loti Depuis quelques années l’iféa et l’école Pierre Loti organisent des rencontres avec les classes CE2 de l’école Pierre Loti dans le but de mieux faire connaître aux élèves l’archéologie et le métier d’archéologue.
Apparition of herding in the Near Eastern Neolithic: a chart (2008). The analyses undertook for my doctoral thesis, allowed to set up a provisional chart of the invention and the intensification of animal domestication during the Neolithic period of the Near East. In this chart, the type of human/animal relationship is determined for every subphase of the Neolithic period and for every (sub)region of South-West Asia concerned with prime neolithisation. This determination follows a set of consideration, described in details in the thesis, divided between direct (genetic) and indirect hints (sex/age ratio, changes in species geographical distribution etc.). The investigation blends first-hand economic data (archaeozoological and archaeobotanical) with ethnological analyses to replace them within the evolutionary perspective offered by archaeology. Primarily concerned with the advent of animal and plant domestication (relating to the economic infrastructure), the project extends to various social superstructures like ideology, symbolism, decision-making or kinship. Séminaire d’archéologie : L’habitation, l’abri de l’homme à travers les âges La première séance s’est tenue le mercredi 28 janvier 2009 à la salle Albert Gabriel de l’IFEA. L’invitée de cette séance, Dr. Stella Souvatzi, a fait une présentation très intéressante sur le thème de « Households and Communities in Neolithic Greece » à un public de spécialistes d’une quarantaine de personnes, composé essentiellement d’enseignant-chercheurs et d’étudiants des départements d’archéologie de diverses universités
Séminaire bimensuel : L’intégration des réfugiés en Grèce et en Turquie après l’échange de population: dimensions conflictuelle, politique, sociale, économique et culturelle La première séance, présentée par les responsables du séminaire Nikos Sigalas et Lisa Montmayeur, s’est tenue le mardi 17 février à 17h30 à l’IFEA. Cette séance d’introduction a porté sur le thème général de la question de l’intégration culturelle, politique et sociale des réfugiés de l’échange de population de 1923, en Grèce et en Turquie.
