Cet axe de recherche s’intéresse principalement à la région de la Carie et s’organise autour de la période clé durant laquelle la dynastie des Hékatomnides régnait sur la région. Ni Grecs, ni Perses, les membres de cette dynastie, dont le plus fameux est Mausole, furent portés à la tête de la satrapie carienne par le pouvoir central perse. TARİHİ COĞRAFYA VE MADDE KÜLTÜRÜ Sorumlu : Olivier Henry (IFEA) Bu araştırma programı, Arkaik dönemden Helenistik döneme kadar, Anadolu’da yaşanan büyük  dönüşümler boyunca yerel kimliklerin tanımını ve gelişimini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu araştırma alanı, özellikle Karya bölgesiyle ve Hecatomnus hanedanının hüküm sürdüğü kilit dönem üzerine yoğunlaşır. Ne Yunan ne de Pers olan bu hanedanlığın mensupları -ki bunların en tanınmışı Mausolos’tur- merkezi Pers yönetimi tarafından Karya satraplığının başına getirildiler. Oysa ki, Mausolos ve kardeşi Idrieus günümüzde Helenizmin temsilcileri ve gelecekteki Helenistik krallıklarının ilk örnekleri kabul edilmektedir. M.Ö. 4.yüzyılda Karya’da, Pers ya da Yunan izleri taşımayan, ancak, özgünlüğü bu iki toplumun güçlü bir yerel kimlikle, karşılıklı etkileşiminin bir sonucu olan, gösterişli bir madde kültürü gelişti (örneğin Halikarnas Mozolesi). PENEO: Economic and Social Platform for the Neolithic of South-West Asia PENEO: Plateforme Economique et sociale du NEOlithique d’Asie antérieure Responsable : Cédric BODET, post doctorant TÜBITAK This project is seeking to reconstruct the evolution of the social structures affected by the process of neolithisation in SW Asia and Anatolia in particular. The investigation blends first-hand economic analyses (archaeozoological and archaeobotanical) with ethnological data to replace them within the evolutionary perspective offered by archaeology. Primarily concerned with the advent of domestication (relating to the economic infrastructure), the project extends,  to the various areas of the social superstructure like internal organization, symbolism, kinship etc. The results take the form of articles, thesis, charts and maps.
