The investigation blends first-hand economic analyses (archaeozoological and archaeobotanical) with ethnological data to replace them within the evolutionary perspective offered by archaeology. Primarily concerned with the advent of domestication (relating to the economic infrastructure), the project extends, to the various areas of the social superstructure like internal organization, symbolism, kinship etc. The results take the form of articles, thesis, charts and maps. Osmanlı ve Türk Tarihi Çalışmaları, Osmanlı ve Türk toplumunun özellikleri ve işleyişi üzerine olan bilgilerin arttırılmasını hedeflemektedir.Çalışmalar Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun kuruluşundan sonuna kadar olan dönemi ve Cumhuriyuet’in ilk yıllarından İkinci Dünya Savaşı’nın sonuna kadar olan dönemi kapsar. Présentation de l’axe | Activités L’objectif de cet axe de recherche est de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension de l’interaction des différentes institutions et acteurs ottomans lors des processus de réconciliation entre individus ou bien au cours de l’établissement de la justice en général. À travers l’intervention d’historiens travaillant sur différents aspects du fonctionnement de la justice au sein de la société ottomane, nous souhaitons avoir de nouveaux éclairages sur le déroulement des pratiques relatives aux procédures juridiques, punitives ou bien réconciliatrices. L’interaction entre les tribunaux des cadis et les divans des gouverneurs ou bien du divan impérial nous intéressera particulièrement à cet égard mais aussi la place faite aux opinions des juristes (tels les muftis), tout au long des
