Çalıştay: Türkiye’de Kültürel Mirasın Korunması ve Değerlendirilmesi. Aktörler, Etkileşim ve Çözüm Önerileri : 6-7 Haziran 2013

Fransız Anadolu Araştırmaları Enstitüsü tarafından organize edilen seminerler kentsel/bölgesel anıtlar ve sitlerle ilgili –İstanbul ve Kapadokya– “miras değerlendirilmesi (patrimoniality)” konusundaki temel soruları ön plana çıkardı. Konferanslarda bahsedilen tüm konuların içerisinde, şu açıkça görülmüştür ki sitlerin ve anıtların korunması için çalışan tüm aktörler, yerel ihtiyaçlar uyarınca bölünüp kollara ayrılan bir dinamik oluşturarak birbirleriyle etkileşmektedir. Bu etkileşim ve bu etkileşimin oluştuğu durumlardaki değişim hızı ve süreksizlik belirgin olarak gözlenmektedir. Türkiye’deki bu durum; zengin, çeşitli ve çok katmanlı kültürel mirasa sahip olmak ve bu mirasın korunması ve değerlendirilmesi için  farklı aktörlerin birarada çalışması gereği  ile açıklanabilir. Bazı örneklerde ve özellikle yerel projelerde bu aktörler ve rollerinde çeşitlilikler, farklılıklar hatta birbiriyle çelişen amaçlar ve stratejiler ortaya çıkabilir. ***Deadline extended to Friday, February 22, 2013*** The American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) announces the availability of US graduate student, postdoctoral and junior faculty (pre-tenure) fellowships in support of research and mentoring activities in the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and/or Georgia). The goals of the fellowship are to support research in and the study of the South Caucasus; and to select, recognize and financially support individuals early in their careers who demonstrate high potential to contribute to research in this region. Istanbul 29 Mayıs University is pleased to announce and invite you to the first International Conference on “Istanbul during the Ottoman Period”. The conference will take place at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, on May 28th and 31th, 2013. The aim is to explore and trace the historical, social, cultural and economic developments that led to the growth of an Ottoman Istanbul.
