Arkeoloji Birimi

Araştırma faaliyetlerimiz arasında arkeoloji son derece köklü bir geçmişe sahiptir. 1930 yılında kurulan IFEA, Fransız arkeologların Türkiye’deki çalışmalarının vazgeçilmez bir parçası haline gelmiştir. Gerek araştırma merkezi kimliğiyle, gerekse Türkiye’de arkeoloji alanında faaliyet gösteren Avrupalı, Fransız kişi ve kuruluşlara verdiği destek ile IFEA, Fransız arkeolojisinin ülkedeki merkezi konumundadır. Arkeoloji Birimi sorumlusu Néhémie Strupler, Yakındoğu’da Tunç Çağı uzmanıdır (nehemie.strupler@ifea-istanbul.net). İki ülke arasında ortaklaşa yürütülecek araştırma programlarının canlandırılmasına yönelik araştırma konularının belirlenmesi; burslar çerçevesinde arkeolog, öğretim üyesi ve öğrencilerin ağırlanması; resmi ve akademik süreçlerde arkeologların desteklenmesi; arkeologların Türkiye’de yürüttükleri çalışmaların raporlanarak, kazı sonuçlarında devamlılık sağlanması; son olarak da arkeoloji alanındaki prosedürün seyri hakkında meslektaşlarımızın bilgilendirilmesi IFEA Arkeoloji Birimi’nin görevleri arasındadır. Türkiye ve Fransa arasında yürütülen ortak çalışmaları geliştirmek, yerli ve yabancı meslektaşlarımız arasındaki ilişkileri güçlendirmek,
