International conference The Challenge of Gender in the Ottoman, Turkish and Middle-Eastern Studies: Attempting an Interdisciplinary Approach The Department of Turkish and Modern Asian Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and The French School of Athens are planning to hold an international conference in Athens on December, 1st -2nd, 2011. The conference will be entitled The Challenge of Gender in the Ottoman, Turkish and Middle-Eastern Studies: Attempting an Interdisciplinary Approach. This conference will be held during the second meeting of the research group working on Gender and Inter-religious Relations in South Eastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean (19th -21st centuries).
