Le Prof. Scott N. Redford s’est spécialisé en archéologie, archéologie du paysage, histoire de l’art de l’Anatolie orientale et de la Méditerranée orientale, l’étude des matériaux en archéologie et la céramique.
Scott Redford est à la fois professeur au Département d’histoire de l’Université Koç et Directeur de l’Institut des civilisations anatoliennes. Nous pouvons citer parmi ses publications: The Archaeology of the Frontier in the Medieval Near East: Excavations at Gritille, Turkey ( Philadelphia, 1998), Landscape and the State in Medieval Anatolia: Seljuk Gardens and Pavilions of Alanya, Turkey ( Oxford, 2000) et “A Historical Archaeology of the Ottoman Empire: Breaking New Ground”, Bulletin of the American Schools of Oriental Research (2002). Il taravaille actuellement à la publication des niveaux médiévaux du site de Kinet Höyük,Hatay (Türkiye).
