Anatolia Antiqua

Anatolia Antiqua is the international journal of Anatolian archaeology published by IFEA (French Institute for Anatolian Archaeology) since 1988. It features the work of leading specialists working in all areas of Anatolian archaeology, from prehistory to the Seljuk period, in French or English.

Anatolia Antiqua has a twofold aim:

  • First, to facilitate the dissemination of new data through the rapid publication of preliminary excavation and survey reports. The annual results of most French excavations conducted in Turkey are thus published regularly in the section “Chronicles of Archaeological Work in Turkey” – without a peer-review process.
  • Second, significant space is devoted to synthesis work through the publication of in-depth articles – which undergo peer review.

 

The print version of Anatolia Antiqua is published by Ege Yayınları.

Heritage in the present: "les Dossiers de l'IFEA" (IFEA's files)

The “Patrimoines au présent” collection (Heritage Today) presents concise and up-to-date summaries of issues related to heritage preservation in the context of contemporary Turkish society. Like their sister series, “La Turquie aujourd’hui” (Turkey Today) these dossiers, combining rigorous in-depth research with fieldwork, are the result of multidisciplinary work by Turkish and French scholars.

Varia Anatolica

Varia Anatolica is one of the main series of printed monographs published by the French Institute of Anatolian Studies. Dedicated to archaeology, it covers a wide range of disciplines and favors multidisciplinary approaches.

This collection features high-quality research, covering both the results of archaeological excavations and the study of cultural heritage, as well as archaeometry and the analysis of material culture, thus making a significant contribution to the renewal of knowledge about Anatolia and the surrounding regions.
