Research teams

Research at IFEA is structured around interdisciplinary research teams, within which the various programs conducted by researchers are situated.

• The Archaeology Research Team, whose scientific coordination is ensured by Maria Gorea (IFEA)
• The History Research Team, whose scientific coordination is ensured by Philippe Bourmaud (IFEA)
• The Contemporary Studies Research Team, whose scientific coordination is ensured by Gabrielle Angey (IFEA, Université Paris Dauphine – PSL/IRISSO)

Observatories

Two observatories, dedicated to contemporary issues and acting as hubs for research and resources, are attached to their respective research centers: the Istanbul Urban Observatory and the Observatory of Turkish Political Life.

The Caucasus Observatory in Baku was a branch established in 2003 whose activities ended in August 2016.
