Titre : Histoire et politique étrangère: la production de savoirs sur le Moyen-Orient dans les années 2000 en Turquie

 

Depuis la guerre du Golfe de 1990-1991 et surtout après l'invasion américaine de 2003, il est possible d'observer l'émergence et le développement d'un nouveau savoir sur le Moyen-Orient en Turquie. Cette présentation revient sur une communauté de politique étrangère rassemblant acteurs institutionnels, scientifiques et communautaires dans la promotion d'une nouvelle politique turque en Irak. Nous nous intéresserons en particulier à la place donnée au passé ottoman, aux archives et aux représentations cartographiques dans cette production intellectuelle qui met en évidence la dimension transnationale de cette production du savoir sur un espace post-impérial.

Le programme complet pour la période 2023-2024 sera partagé sur le site web de l'OUI dans les prochains jours.

La première excursion « Traces d'Egypte à Istanbul: Les investissements égyptiens dans l'urbanisme du dernier siècle ottoman à Istanbul » aura lieu le mercredi 8 novembre 2023. Philippe Bourmaud (historien, directeur de l’IFEA) nous guidera lors de cette excursion.

Le RDV est fixé à 10h00 devant l'IFEA et le retour est prévu vers 15h00. Le départ en minibus est fixé à 10h45 à Taksim (AKM).

Programme :

- Nous partirons de l'institut pour marcher sur Istiklal et passer par Hıdivyal Palas et Mısır Apartmanı. Nous allons voir 3 sites à Emirgan : Mısırlı Aziz İzzet Yalısı, le musée Sakıp Sabancı et dans le prolongement le Sari Kösk du khédive Ismaïl Pacha.

- Nous allons découvrir deux sites sur la rive asiatique : Çubuklu Hidiv Kasrı et Beykoz Kasrı.

Titre: Les fonds d'archives familiaux et le métier d'archiviste: exemple de la fondation Tek-Esin

 

La préservation et l’usage des sources historiques ne sont pas uniquement effectués par l’Etat ; les fondations jouent aussi un rôle important. La fondation familiale Tek-Esin en est un exemple et une forme particulière.

Ferit Tek, négociateur lors du traité de Lausanne, premier ministre de l’intérieur de la République de Turquie, ambassadeur dans plusieurs pays (la France, l’Angleterre, l’Ukraine, la Pologne et le Japon) ; et son épouse, Müfide Ferit Tek, autrice féministe et nationaliste (qui a quatre romans, dont un en français), ont conservé tout au long de leur vie beaucoup de documents.

Leur fille, Emel Esin, docteure en histoire de l’art et artiste elle-même, a ajouté ses œuvres et ses travaux académiques à la collection.

Aujourd’hui, une équipe d’archivistes travaille à trier, traduire, classifier et à publier certains de ces documents. Ali Bilgin participe à ce travail sur ce fond d’archives privé qui est un reflet de l’histoire de la Turquie de la fin du XIXe siècle à la fin du XXe siècle.

Outre parler de l'histoire de cette famille atypique, cette conférence sera aussi l'occasion de réfléchir au métier d'archiviste, et à son rôle dans la préservation de l'histoire et les usages possibles de celle-ci.

 

Après avoir été diplômé du lycée St. Benoît et du département de philosophie de l'université Galatasaray, il a poursuivi son master en philosophie dans la même université. Depuis 2016, il travaille à la Fondation Tek-Esin, où il s'occupe du tri des archives, de la traduction, de la transcription, de la préparation des publications et de l'édition.

Andreas Schachner - Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (DAI)

Title: Boğazköy through the Ages: New insights into the Hittite, Iron Age and Roman settlements´ development from recent research at Hattuša

 

 

Prof. Dr. Andreas Schachner is a senior research associate at the German Archaeological Institute´s Istanbul Section and an adjunct Professor for Near Eastern Archaeology at the University of Würzburg, Germany. After having participated in various excavations in Turkey and Uzbekistan during his education (PhD in 1999) he conducted two independent research projects in Southeastern Turkey while working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Near Eastern Archaeology of Munich University. Since 2006 he directs the German Archaeological Institute´s Boğazköy Excavations focusing not only on the Hittite remains but taking the settlement history as whole into account. The research in Hattusha is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach that combines humanities and methods of various natural sciences and attaches particular importance to the application of archaeometric research. Beside his excavation responsibilities Andreas Schachner´s research interests cover a wide range of mainly Bronze and Iron Age topics reaching from the Anatolian Highlands to the Caucasus, Syria and Mesopotamia, but also the history of archaeology in the Near East as well as issues of heritage conservation and management. His numerous publications deal not only with his fieldwork but contribute to theoretical and methodological aspects of the Ancient Near Eastern art, archaeometric analysis of materials as well as various aspects of the relationship between humans and their geographical environment in Antiquity.

1ère séance : Dr. Hans Georg K. Gebel - Jordanian Highlands’ LPPNB Mega-Site Phenomenon: Promotors of Rise and Collapse Revisited. New Results and Perspective

 

Pour cette deuxième session, nous nous intéresserons aux Néolithiques dans l’est méditerranéen. En effet, selon les zones occupées, plusieurs néolithiques ont été observés. De Chypre à l’est Anatolien, cette série de séminaire a pour objet d’inviter des archéologues spécialistes de cette époque.

Après une intervention de 40-45 mn par le chercheur invité, une place importante sera laissée aux questions. Le séminaire est ouvert à tous selon les places disponibles.

Le séminaire de clôture se tiendra à l'Institut français d'études anatoliennes (IFEA) le vendredi 17 novembre de 14h à 17h.

Ces journée d’études internationales ont pour but de faire dialoguer des chercheur.e.s de différentes disciplines des sciences humaines et sociales (histoire, communication, sémiologie, muséologie, science politique, sociologie, droit) autour des médiations des imaginaires culturels et symboliques transmis par les institutions muséales à leurs publics en proposant un regard croisé entre la France et la Turquie à l’occasion du centenaire de la République turque. 

S’inscrivant dans les perspectives interdisciplinaires en études muséales, il s’agit de considérer tant la dimension communicationnelle du musée (en tant que dispositif médiatique) que sa force symbolique au regard de l’enjeu du musée comme moyen de transmission des savoirs. En considérant les objets, les idées ainsi que les points de vue adoptés, l’objectif est alors plus spécifiquement d’interroger les manières de faire admettre comme patrimoine, l’histoire, les reconstructions collectives d’une/des mémoire(s) territoriale(s) – qu’elle(s) soi(en)t nationale(s), régionale(s) – proposées par les musées de France et de Turquie à leurs publics.
